High-rate appearance is lighter, and high-capacity use is more durable
Based on the keen anticipation of the market, the deep insight into demand and the experience advantage in the cylindrical battery field, BAK Battery has continuously broken through the performance of cylindrical lithium-ion battery products, and has successfully launched the BAK’s full-tab 2170 cell series products this time, once again boosting the overall technical level of the industry.
The 2170 series products exhibited this time adopt the innovative design of full-tab structure, thus effectively reducing the cell impedance and improving the power performance on the basis of giving consideration to energy density and capacity. At present, BAK’s full-tab 2170 series cell has an energy density of 223Wh/Kg, which can support continuous discharge with 50A high current and pulse discharge with 140A. The cell supports 13.5A fast charge and 500 cycles of 50A high-rate discharge in terms of cycle life. At the same time, this cell can support the discharge at -40℃ in terms of low-temperature service ability, which ensures the normal use in extreme environment. The above-mentioned energy density, high rate and high-rate cycle, and low-temperature discharge ability make the full-tab 2170 series cell suitable for professional and industrial tools, high-speed electric motorcycles, high-power vacuum cleaners, AGV, portable energy storage, sweeping robots and other multiple application scenarios. In addition, the full-tab 2170 series cell can also replace the multi-tab 18650 1P/2P/3P battery pack or 21700 1P/2P battery pack, so as to better meet the application requirements of light weight and miniaturization.
BAK’s full-tab large cylindrical battery products exhibited this time are made of 9 series high-nickel materials and high-capacity and high-compression graphite silicon-doped system. The cell has an energy density up to 290Wh/kg and a cycle life of 1000 cycles, and supports 4C continuous charge and discharge. At the same time, the BAK’s full-tab large cylindrical cell can work in the temperature range of -30℃ to +60℃, and can last for a long time in most extreme environments. At present, it can match multiple application scenarios such as new energy vehicles, electric two-wheeled vehicles and portable energy storage.
Generally speaking, the requirements for coating, slitting, winding and welding are stricter in the process of full-tab cell series products. In terms of performance, the cell is provided with the optimized electronic path and thermal path, so that the cell has extremely low internal resistance, which is helpful to reduce the generation of heat in the cell and the waste of energy, so as to achieve the purpose of improving energy utilization efficiency. In terms of use, the full-tab technology can further improve the cycle life of the cell. In terms of temperature adaptability, the wide temperature range from -40℃ to 80℃ is widened by optimizing the chemical system. Cylindrical cell has the advantage of high safety performance. With its high energy density, high rate, fast charge and long service life, it can well alleviate the shortcoming of new energy batteries.
Breaking through the cell capacity limit has been the “routine operation” of BAK Battery.
